R&D highlights 2026
Pharmovate-2026 – Innovating the Future of Pharmacy
A one-day international level symposium titled “Pharmovate-2026 – Innovating the Future of Pharmacy” was conducted by the Department of Pharmaceutics, Ennam College of Pharmacy. As per the proposed schedule, five expert lectures and technical and non-technical competitions were conducted during the programme.
The programme aimed to unite academicians, researchers, students and industry professionals to explore advancements in pharmaceutical sciences.
Participating institutions/companies: 4 international, 10 national and 14 state level.
CPE Accreditation for Pharmovate-2026
Pharmovate-2026 was accredited by the Continuing Education Programme Accreditation Committee of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

GPAT Awareness Seminar
A seminar to create awareness about the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) was conducted at Ennam College of Pharmacy. Dr. R. Thilagavathi, Vice Principal, delivered the seminar on GPAT awareness.
World TB Day 2026 — “Innovations in TB Treatment and Vaccine Development”
As part of the observance of World Tuberculosis Day 2026, an online quiz was organised by the Research and Development Cell under the guidance of Dr. R. Thilagavathi, Director (Research and Development Cell).
The event received an enthusiastic response, with 147 participants, including students and faculty members, taking part.
Ennam Students Won Second Prize at Ideathon-2026
Students of Ennam College of Pharmacy brought laurels to the institution by securing second prize at the Ideathon competition conducted as part of the two-day National Conclave on “Innovations in Agri and Food Products” at Anna University Regional Campus, Coimbatore. The event was organised by the Bioresearch Innovation Cell (BRIC) with support from TICEL, AIC Raise (Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Government of India) and Rathinam Institutions.
A team of five students participated under the guidance of Dr. R. Thilagavathi, Professor, Vice Principal and Director of the R&D Cell. Ms. Kaviya N (II B.Pharm) and Ms. Vishalini (I B.Pharm) secured second prize for presenting innovative ideas. The additional guidance provided by the faculty members of ECOP is greatly appreciated.
